What We Do

Agribusiness & Technical Consulting

Value Chain Consultation

Our clients primarily come through a wide range of connections. The AVI team has an innovative and diverse mindset in all areas of agriculture allowing for the most practical segment of the value chain to be built on the clients’ property. AVI uses a Five-Phase Development cycle. Each phase outlines a different piece of the planning and production of the farm. Our value chain consultation is completed in Phase 1 but is a working part of all phases. Our team works to implement the best fit with what is established on the farm.

To access all needed inputs for various farm operations AVI has both partnered with companies and furthered that relationship into becoming a dealer. We act as a bridge for companies to a global footprint, beginning in the East Africa region.

Partner

The steps in building value chains require multiple partners involved in every aspect and business sector within agriculture. AVI looks to build partnerships with companies to have a secure resource to handle the needs of building the value chains. Our partnerships help companies grow into the East African market through our utilization of their services. Loyalty to those companies is important to us, as trust is built over time.

Dealer

In a global environment, companies are looking for ways to expand their reach into international markets. AVI is the connection these companies need to venture into East Africa. Through our vast network of people, AVI has taken the opportunity to be a managing dealer for companies wanting to develop an African footprint. This benefits all parties involved, namely the company looking to expand, AVI, and Ugandan farmers in need of new technology in order to increase production.

Business Planning And Feasibility Analysis

Through our team’s partners and connections, we understand and develop what all outside funders and investors are looking for in a business plan. All portions of the business plan are important to the research, design, and operation of each farm. The plans help lay out the foundation of the farms, then the feasibility analysis allows both AVI and its client to determine how the farm should be operated. Creating this analysis fills any gaps, discrepancies, or flaws within the plan before the implementing stages begin. The business planning and feasibility analyses are Phase 3 and 4 in the Five Phase Development cycle.

Management And Operations

Putting action to the business plan is Phase 5 in the cycle. Per the negotiation of the business contract, AVI will be the managing partner in the operation of the client’s business. Our impact on social structure and job security is made by the management and operation on farm. These positions will be initially filled by anyone local or global who suits the needs of expertise and skills. In the first years of each operation, locals will be educated and trained to take on any and all positions.
